I still think the Dynasty is an overpriced, under-sized unit, that only makes sense for a full-time shop as dedicated small work machine or as backup. I also had a tan face one that I bought new. I had the ESAB I never liked the AC portion of the machine ac frequency factory set too high and not adjustable and then after less than 30 hours on the unit the went up in smoke.

The only reason the original owners had such a high capacity machine was for the very hepiarc low amperage control.

This really is a nice machine Don’t really see any for sale, so tough to get a feel for what it’s worth. I agree with Billet Benny on this one. Really nice, robust solidstate design compares much favorably in my opinion to the more popular “Blue” Syncrowave. It is a good machine but value is very low because it’s not red or blue and it’s not an inverter.
My nights are now mostly free so I want to get back to learning tig.

Again, if you just have the money to blow ewab that’s not an heliwrc for you, there’s nothing wrong with buying one if you like. I found it is in a business that fabricates race car frames and has allegedly only been used for aluminum work. We have a Heliarc vintage which we got from a customer in a trade for work. I just spoke to the guy.
Might be small but it’s there.
