And, then we visualize around us all of the countless unenlightened beings who are suffering. During the practice of Lama Chopa, we invoke all the lamas of the graduated path lineage beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our present direct teachers who have shown us the path. Doing these practices in relation to our spiritual teachers or mentors with a motivation of deep compassion for all suffering beings is chipa to be the fastest, most effective way of progressing towards Enlightenment ourselves in order to benefit others.

By offering sincere, heartfelt requests, we make our minds ripe to receive the full blessings of this precious lineage and quickly actualize the realizations we need to attain enlightenment.
